Alibi (“we,” “us,” “our”) is operated by Samuel Gregory Bernet, an individual developer based in Zurich, Switzerland. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use the Alibi mobile application and website (collectively, the “Service”).

- Email address — when you join our waitlist or create an account

- Game data — party configurations, guest lists, and session details
Data Generated Through the Service
- AI-generated content — characters, storylines, scripts, clues, and artwork
- Game interactions — choices, votes, and actions during gameplay
Data Collected Automatically
- Device information — device type, operating system, app version
- Usage data — features used, session duration, crash logs
- IP address — for security and approximate geolocation

- Provide and operate the Service
- Generate personalized murder mystery content using AI
- Send you updates about the Service (with your consent)
- Improve the app and fix bugs
- Prevent fraud and abuse

We do not sell your personal data. Ever.

- Your inputs (party theme, guest names, preferences) are processed by AI to generate content
- AI-generated content is created specifically for your game session
- We may use anonymized, aggregated data to improve our AI models
- We do not use your personal data to train third-party AI models without your consent
6. Where We Store Your Data
Your data is stored using Supabase, a cloud-hosted backend platform. Servers may be located in the EU/EEA or other regions. Where data is transferred outside Switzerland or the EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions).
7. Data Retention
- Account data: Retained while active, up to 30 days after deletion
- Game data: Retained while your account is active; deletable any time
- Waitlist emails: Retained until you unsubscribe or the waitlist closes
- Usage analytics: Retained in anonymized form for up to 24 months
8. Your Rights
Under the GDPR, Swiss FADP, and applicable laws, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data (“right to be forgotten”)
- Export your data in a portable format
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Withdraw consent at any time

Alibi is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 in certain EU jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
